Terribly sorry for this being a few days late. We've been quite busy here at HoY, and with things like the death of Satoru Iwata it really put a drag on everyone that didn't really help. Anyway, this week we've got a treat for our writers in the group, with :iconmglitch:'s writers guide! Training GroundsWelcome to the summer writing class, where I'll aid in giving you some lessons and advice on improving your writing or key things to keep in mind when writing. For today's lesson, I'll teach you the importance of sentences. The sentences are part of the key structure in a story and compared to art, sentences are the lines that make the picture.
So what do you need to know about sentences? Well proper ones have a person, place, or thing and objective or something that's going on. Other sentences will just talk about or describe what's going on, acting like the support to the structure of the writings. So here's an example of a proper sentence.
A light brown camel was visiting other towns.
Did you find the person place or thing? Well you should have since it was simple as one, two, three. The person was 'the camel' and the objective was 'visiting other towns'. Simple right? Well why just keep that proper sentence as is? Let's make it better and maybe add another sentence by it's side so
Even the humble artist must know good writing and sentence structure, for those descriptions and for possible stories to go with the images. Perhaps a small antidote about what's going on in the image, or maybe it's the beginning of a comic. All comes into play so it's good for artists and writers alike to be well disciplined on the subject.

A Different Kind of RelaxationIt was the end of another busy weekday as a young man drove his way home. At this moment, all he wanted was to be there, his blue eyes currently filled with exhaustion and expectation. While it was what he desired at the end of every workday, some days he wanted to be just about anywhere but the office. Maybe a computer or other piece of machinery stopped working properly. Maybe a coworker got under his skin and frustrated him. Maybe the day was just dull and utterly lacking in anything remotely interesting. Whatever the case, today was one of those days.
“I want to go home; I need to relax.” This phrase, on repeat, was just about the only thing in his head. The music on the radio was just a bunch of white noise to him. The other cars on the road were little more than obstacles for him to avoid. The events of the day seemed as distant as childhood memories. Before he knew it, he was in his neighborhood, pulling up to his house’s driveway.
“Finally...” the
